Today, we have assembled in the spirit of love and with sincere thankfulness to celebrate the life of Bobby Lee Brown. Truly his presence shall surely be missed; but the endless memories, teaching, and words of wisdom shall forever be embellished within the core of our hearts. Bobby Lee Brown was born on March 15, 1952 to the late Prince Brown, Sr. and the late Hannah Jenkins Brown in Hampton County, South Carolina. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 4, Charlotte, North Carolina.
He attended the public school system of Hampton District 2. At the age of 17, he moved to New York. He was employed as a security guard for New York Republic Bank. Bobby had a happy spirit with lots of laughter and great wisdom. He was an avid sports lover. He also loved listening to gospel music, playing checkers, and Bingo.
He was married to the late Geraldine Brown.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; daughter, Sedeka Brown; sister, Rosa Bing; brothers, Prince Brown, Jr., Lee Brown, and Archie Brown, Sr.
He leaves his legacy to live on with his family as they celebrate his memories: children, Sarah (William) Robinson, Passaic, NJ, Joshua Brown and Shanequa Brown both of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Maya Spann, Ahmaad and Saddig Robinson all of Passaic, NJ; sisters, Elizabeth Garvin and Gloria Jean Smalls both of Estill, SC; Godchildren, Taliah Dye, Passaic, NJ, Stafon Kendrick, Newark, NJ, and Rinald Covington, Charlotte, NC; several nieces, nephews, host of cousins, and friends.
