Alicia Brooks Obituary

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” – II Timothy 4:7-8

Although my life appears brief, my earthy days whether good or bad are past and gone. e night of death has drawn near. God never promised any of us tomorrow or guaranteed us old age. Life is so precious, so always show each other love, because you never know when God will call you home. Earth needed a beautiful caring individual, so on December 10, 1976, God sent Ruby Wilder and Randolph Brown an amazing angel who they named Alicia Brown. This amazing angel has been an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.

Alicia attended Glynn Academy High School in Brunswick, Georgia, in 1996. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with True Deliverance Outreach Tabernacle, Inc. In her leisure, she enjoyed dancing and party planning. She was a faithful team leader and team player at King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort for 25 years. Alicia was the founder and owner of Kreative Khaos, LLC.

Alicia Brown was united in holy matrimony with James H. Brooks, Sr., on March 23, 2011, in Brunswick, Georgia. Their union was blessed with two children, J’iyah Brooks and J’Coiyah Brooks. God’s plans are not always our plans.

When the angels came for her on March 26, 2024, this was much sooner than we planned, but we’ll brave the grief that comes and try to understand.

Alicia leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Bishop James H. Brooks, Sr.; four daughters, J’iyah and J’Coiyah Brooks of Brunswick, GA, Princess Brooks of Greensboro, NC, and Cynthia (Michael) Peebles of Huntsville, AL; Five sons, J’Rale Bethea, J’Quan Brown, J’Mari Bethea, James Brooks, Jr., all of Brunswick, GA, and Kevin (Mary) Brooks of Statesboro, GA; loving and caring mother, Ruby Wilders; father, Randolph (Glory) Browne; three grandchildren, Nevaeh Alicia Marie Bethea of Pooler, GA, and Amarion Bethea and Amonti Stanley of Brunswick, GA; three brothers, Theophilous Maurice Browne, James Browne, and Cornelius Browne, all of Brunswick, GA; three uncles, Shelton (Cynthia) Grant of Clarksville, TN, John (Letrice) Grant of Brunswick,
GA, and Ulysses Green of Alabama;  Five aunts, Carrie (Al) Barnett of Cave Springs, GA, Stella (Rafael) Carrasquillo, Thelma Brown, Patricia Brown Mincey, all of Brunswick, GA, and Apostle Isabell Myles of Keystone Heights, FL; two loving sisters-in-law, Barbara A. Newberry and Willie Mae Higginbotham, all of Brunswick, GA; one brother-in-law, Vann Brooks of Brunswick, GA; four goddaughters, Isabella Rose Childress of Pooler, GA, Jalan Love, Ashley Williams, Alexia Howard and Imesha “MeMe” Stanley of Brunswick, GA; one godson, Eric “Pooh Bear” Stanley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
