Brother Allen Lamar Blash was born in Brunswick (Glynn), Georgia, to Mary Evelyn Slay and Emanuel Blash on June 2, 1951. Lamar’s Christian walk began at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Lamar attended both the Glynn County and New York public schools. Upon returning to Brunswick, Lamar joined Hall’s Temple. He later became a member of Friendship Ministries COGIC; there, he served on the hospitality committee. Lamar loved being a blessing to his fellow man. He would always greet you with his favorite quote, “Be blessed.”
Allen Lamar Blash was united in holy matrimony to Patricia (Pat) Brown on July 27, 1984, in Brunswick, GA. This union was blessed with three, Allen Lamar Blash, Jr., Nakeya Blash Addison, and Nicholas Blash. He was employed by the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) where he was a car transporter. He also owned his own lawn service. In his leisure and for his enjoyment, he loved traveling, flying gas-powered planes, racing remote-control cars, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, and we can’t forget the WW wrestling association TV shows.
Allen Lamar Blash departed this life on April 22, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Evelyn Blash Forrester and Emanuel Blash; and son, Allen Lamar Blash, Jr.
