Anjay Wilcox Obituary

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. II Corinthians 5:8

As we gather in the spirit of celebration, to honor the life of a well-loved son of the Wilcox Squad family; our hearts are heavy, but we must accept God’s will and honor Him for Anjay’s fifteen beautiful years, God allowed our son to remain here on earth. The Lord can and will heal the poor in spirit and the broken hearted. When a loved one is summoned home by God, they leave behind memories that are a precious gift. We belong to God, not only for a few fleeting years that we call life but for eternity.

On January 25, 2008, in Jacksonville, Florida, James Ray Wilcox and Cicely La’Tral Noisette-Wilcox were blessed to receive a precious 5 lb. 2 oz baby boy, whom they named Anjay Isaac Wilcox.

Anjay was educated in the Clay County School System. He was an avid reader and always had a thirst for knowledge. He was very knowledgeable and proficient in computer software and IT. He accepted Christ as his Savior at a very early age and was a member at God’s Prophetic Outreach Ministry.

When God sent his angels to return his lent son, which was much sooner than we planned, we’ll brave the grief that comes and try to understand. Anjay Isaac Wilcox departed this life on November 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Melvin Noisette; and paternal grandfather; James Neura Wilcox.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, James Ray Wilcox; mother, Cicely La’Tral Noisette-Wilcox; sisters, Ayanni and Alayah; brothers, Armanni, Amari, Aaron, Anais, and Ayden; maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Axson-Noisette; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Wilcox; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
