Anna Gibbons was born on May 28, 1937 to the late Lula Gibbons-Kelly & Robert Walker in Louisville, GA. Anna received her formal education in the Jefferson County School System in Louisville, Georgia. Anna accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church, where she attended as frequently as she could. .
In her adult life, Anna moved to Brunswick, Georgia from Louisville, Georgia, where she met Eugene Williams, and a child was born, David.
In her leisure, Anna enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, and picked up gardening in her retirement years. She was employed for most of her adult life as a personal care provider to others, supporting those in need of compassion, love and help to ease the pain from physical & medical ailments.
Anna Gibbons departed this life on December 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charlie Gibbons, Frank Gibbons, and Robert Walker, Jr.; sisters, Henrietta Gibbons Maxwell and Carrie Bell Gibbons; sisters-in-law, Julia Gibbons, Sarah Gibbons and brothers-in-law, Richard Gibbons and Robert Maxwell.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, David Gibbons; daughter-in-law, Silvia Gemelli-Gibbons; brother, Samuel Lee Walker; sisters, Elizabeth Hill-Gibbons, Sarah Walker-Brooks, Margaret Walker-Wilson, Judith Walker-Walker, Dorothy Walker-Landers, Marie Walker-Stanley, Layvette Walker-McGruder; a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and faithful friends.
Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside services must wear a mask. We will also limit the number of persons allowed to enter the funeral home at any given period during the viewing process. We ask that you leave the premise upon exiting the building. The family is most appreciative to each of you for all acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time in their lives.
