Annie Hamilton

Annie Denise Hamilton was born on April 16, 1955, to Elouise and Roger Johnson in Brunswick, Georgia. Annie received her formal education in Glynn County School System in Brunswick, Georgia. She furthered her education at Brunswick Junior College in Brunswick, Georgia, and later became a special needs instructor at Glynn County Training Center.

Annie accepted Christ Jesus as her Savior at an early age and later became a Jehovah’s Witness. She served Jehovah at the Kingdom Hall on Altama Avenue and frequently participated in field service activities.

Annie Johnson was united in holy matrimony with Gregory Britt in Brunswick, Georgia. Their union was blessed with one child, Gregory Britt. She later married Michael Hamilton and together they raised Michael Bostic and Gregory Britt.

In her leisure, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grands. She loved to listen to music and dance. She was employed by Glynn County Detention Center as a detention officer for over fifteen years.

Annie Denise Hamilton departed this life on March 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elouise Johnson; father, Roger Johnson; father, Lester Harris; brother, Roger Johnson, Jr. and great grandson, Jansen Ja’Leil Mackey.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her firstborn son, Michael Torraine (Kristile) Bostic; her baby boy, Gregory (Tonette) Britt; her grandchildren, Amesia (Chester) Mackey, Michael T. Bostic, Jr., Marcus “Keith” Bostic, and MaKayla Britt; great-grands, Landon Michael Bostic, Chester Mackey III, Leilani Bostic, and Aliza Mackey; one sister, Sherita Mitchell; four brothers, Lester (Terri) Harris, Jr., Wilbur Ray Johnson, Timothy Tyrone Johnson, and Patrick Johnson; nieces and nephews, Tashina Jackson, Shenice Johnson, Terrell Daniels, Demetrius “Duck” Daniels, Reaco Johnson, and Patrick Jammar Johnson; Lester Harris III, Tilar Harris, Kevin Smith, Dalton Wilson, Jaz Goldsborough; and a host of other relatives and friends.
