“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelations 21:4
We belong to God; not only for a few fleeting years that we call life, but for eternity. God is on both sides of the river. He walks with us during our earthly life and is there to receive us for our eternal life. We are in God’s presence in life, death, and everlasting, yet we must cross the river to receive our crown of life.
Betty J. Caine earthly life began on February 15, 1954, in Jesup, Georgia, when God gave this gentle spirit to the late Othia Fuquay of Odum, Georgia and Jeanette Fuquay of Reidsville, Georgia.
Betty received her high school diploma at Wayne County High School on June 2, 1972. When a man finds a wife, he finds a good thing. Betty married Julius L. Caine on August 5, 1978, in Jesup, Georgia. They have been married for 43 years. In their union they had three children.
Betty accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age under the tutorship of Bishop A. J. Myles. Betty served as the Mother of the Empowerment City Church. She worked at Sea Island as a Supervisor over housekeeping for over 20 years. She volunteered her time being a caretaker for working moms and at the Learning Academy.
In her leisure, she enjoyed reading Danielle Steel books, cooking, crossword puzzles, westerns, gospel music, games on her tablet and classic shows. Her favorite colors were pastel colors.
Betty lived a full life, but God saw she was tired, and the hills were too hard to climb. He gently closed her eyes. She quietly succumbed to the Lord on April 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Othia Fuquay; grandmother, Birdie Mosley Beal; and grandson, Deonte’ Caine.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Julius L. Caine; daughters, Svetlana Caine and Stephanie Caine Rollings (Allen); son, Julius R.
