Bishop Lottie Brown Obituary

Lottie Mae Brown, a devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful servant of God, was born on August 31, 1935, to Johnny and Annie Mae Hendrix in Claxton, Georgia. She received her education at Reidsville High School in Reidsville, Georgia.

On July 22, 1954, Lottie Hendrix married the love of her life, Harry Brown, in Glenville, Georgia. Their union was built on love, trust, and mutual respect and was blessed with eleven children: Harry Lewis Brown, Deborah Orr, Andrew Brown, Gloria Robinson, Willie Lee Brown, Sharon Hanks, Redessa Karen Brown, Leslie Graham, Michael Brown, Travis Brown, and Dewain Robinson. Lottie accepted Christ as her Savior in 1956 at the age of 21, laying the foundation for a lifetime of unwavering faith and dedication to serving God. She was the co-founder of “Holy Band of Inspiration and Deliverance Temple”, where she worked tirelessly to uplift others and spread God’s love.

Those who knew Lottie would describe her as kind, generous, humble, and always dressed with style and grace. Her radiant smile could light up a room, and her love extended beyond her family to her spiritual community and everyone she encountered. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, home décor, watching HGTV, and most importantly, studying the Word of God. Her favorite color was purple, and her favorite song was “God Has Smiled on Me.”

Lottie fought the good fight, kept the faith, and has now finished her race. We find comfort in knowing she is at peace with her Heavenly Father, where a crown of righteousness awaits her. To God be the glory for a life well lived—one of faith, love, and service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Annie Mae Hendrix; her son, Willie Lee Brown; her daughter, Sharon Marie Hanks; and her sisters, Janie Lee Hendrix, Janie Taylor, Louise Hendrix, Vera Smith, and Johnnie Mae Reddish.

Lottie’s memory will forever be cherished by her devoted husband, Bishop Harry Brown; her brother, H.B. Hendrix; her beloved children, Harry Lewis Brown, Deborah Orr, Andrew “AJ” Brown, Gloria “Cookie” Robinson, Redessa “Karen” Brown, Leslie Graham, Michael Brown, Travis (Sareena) Brown, and Dewain (Shirley Charles) Robinson.

She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Laurice “Reese” (Burt) Lancaster, Meki Brown, Demetrius Hall, Sherri Brown, Adrina Brown, LaKesha (John) Posey, Zipporah Graham, Jeremiah Graham, Angel (Tyrone) Pittman, Katerdra (Anthony) Hurdle, Antwon Hanks, Josh (Juannisha) Gillard, Freddie Robinson, Gregory (Candace) Walker, Michael C. Brown, Michael K. Brown, Luke Brown, Josh (Christina) Brown, Caleb (Madeline) Brown, Mallory (Stacy) Krauss, Loretta Jackson, Mark Franklin, Emiliana Robinson, Dewain Robinson II, Dominic Robinson, Donavan Robinson, and Jordan Brown. In addition, she leaves a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, her spiritual family, and many dear friends. Though she has departed from this world, her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in eternal peace, Lottie Mae Brown.
