Brandon Higginbotham Obituary

“And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying. Neither shall there be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away.” Revelations 21:4

To my family and friends that have gathered for my great celebration. Don’t be angry with God because the death angels came earlier than planned. I know it’s also hard to understand why people are taken from this world at such a young age, but I want each of you to understand that my fate was determined by God Almighty. Although I am young, I’ve lived a full and happy life. I have no regrets! As a family, I pray that you will find comfort in knowing that nothing happens unless God allows it.

Brandon Jonathan Higginbotham was born on January 5, 1988, to Kim Leggett and Joe Nathan Higginbotham in Brunswick, Georgia. He started his formal education at Brunswick High School in Brunswick, GA. He received his GED.

Brandon Higginbotham accepted Christ as his Savior at a very early age, and later in life he committed to educating his peers with bible study sessions.

Brandon was united in love with Laketia King. Their union was blessed with three children. Their most cherished moments were on the beach, when they were in Puerto Rico. He loved the water and was planning their wedding on the beach. In his leisure time, he enjoyed cooking and had a passion for music. He loved the color purple and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Brandon Higginbotham departed this life on January 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Nathan Higginbotham; grandfather, Nathan Higginbotham; grandmother, Mattie Higginbotham; uncle, Ralph Higginbotham; and a host of aunts.

He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Kim Leggett (Spencer) Scott; lifetime partner, Laketia King; his children, Dadeyonta Jonathan Williams, Jyrion Gillis, Eric White, Ivy, Blessid, Bria, and Brayilan Higginbotham; three bonus children, Kanijah Foster, Joseph Foster, and Jerrod Foster; grandparents, Johnny and Gloria Leggett; siblings, Ronisha Higginbotham, Shaletta Leggett, Wesley Smith, and Jonae Higginbotham; aunts and uncles, Catina (Charles) Coleman, Patrick Leggett, Lynn Graham, and Leah Higginbotham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
