“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” - John 14:27
We belong to God; not only for a few fleeting years that we call life, but for eternity. God is on both sides of the river. He walks with us during our earthly life and is there to receive us for our eternal life. We are in God’s presence in life, death, and everlasting, yet we must cross the river to receive our crown of life. To my beautiful family members and friends, on December 13, 2025, I turned my back and left it all, when I saw God waiting for me on the other side. I know my life appears to be brief, but I’ve lived an exciting and full life. God afforded me many wonderful opportunities, so don’t question him about sending his angels sooner than we all planned.
On October 23, 1955, in Brunswick, Georgia, God gave Brenda Yvette Williams to Herman Hill and Laura Oglesby Hill. She was educated in the Glynn County public school system in Brunswick, Georgia.
Brenda Y. Hill was united in holy matrimony with Gary Williams, Sr., on June 3 in Brunswick, Georgia. Their union was blessed with three children, Dante Hill, Gary Williams, Jr., and Michael O. Williams, and two bonus children, Royal A. Williams and Tangee Carter.
On Saturday, December 13, 2025, God in His infinite wisdom and mercy saw that Brenda had finished her assignment here on earth and called her home to rest. Brenda Yvette Williams departed this life on December 13, 2025. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Yvonne Tucker.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, Dante L. Hill, Gary Williams, Jr., and Michael O. Williams; granddaughter, Shavanda M. Cobble; grandson, Jordan M. Domingo; great-granddaughter, Nybiah Wyche; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
