Bria Williams Obituary

My life was beautiful; for as long as it lasted, but the journey of my life has come to an end. Please find comfort in knowing that I have no regrets whatsoever. Some things in life are impossible for mankind to fully understand. No matter how long God has entrusted our loved ones here on earth, their departure is hard to understand. As a family, you must accept God’s will and abide by his holy words. The bible tells us that to be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord. Considering the sorrow in our hearts, it is with humble submission and reverence that we must accept the will of God.

Bria Rufuschia Williams was born October 18, 1995, at Ridgeland Hospital to Rufus Williams and Jeffrie Clark. She attended Jasper County public schools and graduated from Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School in 2014. After graduation, Bria attended USC Columbia and eventually planted roots in the Atlanta area. She had recently relocated back to her hometown and was the lead cake decorator at Kroger in Buckwalter.

Bria accepted Christ at an early age, where she joined and was baptized at Second Thankful Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Reverend Dr. Michael A. Williams. She served God in many capacities, including the youth choir, praise dancers, and praise stepping. More recently Bria volunteered with the youth, kitchen staff, and wherever she could lend a helping hand. She enjoyed singing and dancing to her favorite songs.

We are sorrowful, but not as those who have no hope. We are sorrowful because we shall miss her kind smile and jokes. On October 26, 2024, God in his wise providence saw fit to call Bria home to rest with him. Departing this life, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Simone Williams; aunts, Margie Wright and Barbara Allen; and uncles, Steven Clark and Chester Allen; great uncles, Alvin Williams and Freddie Williams; and cousin, Jessica Williams.

Bria leaves to cherish her everlasting memories: her devoted parents, Rufus Williams and Jeffrie Clark; sister, Brittany Orage; nephew, Lee Mosteller; maternal grandparents, Willie and Doretha C. Kirkland; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Elizabeth Williams; paternal great grandmother, Ms. Ada Williams; aunts and uncles, Lenville Ronald Clark, Shonnette Mungin, Reginald Hudson, Sr., Edward Bolden, Phillip (Linda) Williams, Sr., Gerald (Johnnie Mae) Williams, Davitta Williams, and Desmond Williams; and several great aunts and uncles, other cousins, and friends.
