“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7-8
As we travel through this world, we will encounter many trials and tribulations, but we must lean and trust in God to work out all our problems and situations. These encounters teach us how to pray and it increases our faith in our Saviour. There’s never a tear drop, that God doesn’t see or a cry that he doesn’t hear. He even knows when his sparrows have fallen from the tree and needs some special help to get up. There’s never a moment when God doesn’t care or never a time when He won’t hear our prayers! It is during these times, when he determines when our earthy life is over and how much pain we can bear.
Calvin E. Waldon earthly life began on August 25, 1937, when God blessed Paul Walden and Nellie Walden with a unique and amazing child in Bulloch County, Georgia. He received his formal education in the Bulloch County School System in Bulloch County, Georgia. Raised in a spiritual home that taught the importance of having a personal relationship with God, Calvin accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of five and was united with First A. B. Church. At an early age, Calvin exhibited a combination of determination, strength, and tenacity that would shape the man that he became in life.
Calvin Waldon was united in holy matrimony with Willie Mae Jackson in Tattnall County. Their union was blessed with three children: Ann Brewton, Paul Walden, and Calvin Walden, Jr.
In his leisure, he enjoyed storytelling, watching TV, sitting outside, music, and spending quality time with family. He always talked about the importance of family.
