Christopher Boston Obituary

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

God knows all and sees all, he knows what’s best for us, even when we don’t know what’s best for us. Please find comfort in knowing that although my life might seem all so brief, don’t prolong it with unnecessary grief. Some things in life are impossible for mankind to fully understand. As a family, you must accept God’s will and abide by his holy words. The bible tells us that to be absent from the body, is to be in the presence of the Lord.

Christopher “Chris” Allen Boston, Sr., was born on October 27, 1963, at Duval Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Grace Boston and the late Willie Boston, Sr. Chris was raised by his parents in love, the late Richard and Gertrude Knight, after he relocated to Brunswick, Georgia, where he spent the majority of his childhood. Chris led a dynamic and nomadic life, residing in various states along the east coast. It was in New Jersey where he met Angela Holland, with whom he shared three daughters, and Tena Epps, with whom he shared a son.

A talented chef with a passion for cooking, Chris dedicated nearly 40 years to the food service industry. His culinary skills were legendary, and he delighted friends and family alike with his delicious meals. Through his work, Chris forged lasting friendships and touched many lives with his kindness and infectious laughter.

Chris departed this life on January 25, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Willie Boston, parents-in-love, Richard and Gertrude Knight, and two siblings, Terri Lynn “Tina” Boston Lewis and Willie “Pee-Wee” Boston, Jr.

Chris leaves behind his three daughters, Monic Holland (Randy) George, Brittany Holland, and Simone Holland; one son, Christopher “C. J.” Allen Boston, Jr.; and four siblings, Shelia Robinson, Larry “Beanie” Robinson, Marilyn “Pat” Evans, and Cynthia “C.K.” (Willie) Flowers. He was a beloved grandfather to Khya, Jer’Niya, Seyveon, Akeira, Nikayla, Demari, Sean, Amani, Ariya, NiRyan and Surena. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Christopher “Chris” Allen Boston, Sr., will be remembered for his distinctive voice, warm heart, culinary talents, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
