Connie Thompson Obituary

Mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend are just a few of the titles worn proudly by Connie Ann Victoria Thompson. After living a life full of fun, love, and joy, her physical journey was completed on November 8, 2022, at the age of 76. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Connie Thompson was born on July
24, 1946, to the late John Marshall Thompson and Gloria Swanson Thomas. She was born in Mt. Vernon, NY. Connie was the second oldest of her siblings and someone who was an avid reader, great writer, and lover of the finer things in life. As a mother, she was loving and caring, and as a grandmother, she was a ball of fun.

During the first part of her life, she raised her family in New York while working at Travelers Insurance Company. Encouraged by her daughters, she decided to attend Elizabeth Seton College where she studied English Literature. Due to her union with David Culbreath, they moved to Brunswick, GA, in the spring of 1996. She spent the second half of her life living in the beautiful Golden Isles. Connie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, witty nature, loving personality, and God-fearing soul. Her grandchildren will forever remember her tenacious and vibrant antics, along with her nurturing spirit to enthusiastically share life anecdotes they will forever cherish.

Connie was preceded in death by one daughter, Valarie Alexander, granddaughter: Brooke Bethea, sisters, Renee, Saundra Thompson, and Jackie Thompson.

She is survived by her siblings, Joanne Romaniszyn, John (Patty) Thompson, Crystal Cox, Conrad (Marilyn) Cox, Jason (Ashlyn) Thompson, and Renee (Michael) Trznadel; three daughters,
Tracy (Gene) Wilson, Sheila (Thomas) Henley, and Thelma Vega; two sons, Marlowe Cochran and Chandler (Lajoya) Cochran; one son-in-law, Preston Bethea; four bonus children, Jackie
Cochran, Troy (Keisha) Cochran, Katina Jones, and Kesha Smith Cochran; thirteen grandchildren, Shireen (Troy) Owens, Warren (Dominique) Thompson, Joselyn (Samuel) Logan, Morris Smith
Jr., Dominique (Sheldon) Cooper, Connie Vega, Candice (Jackson) Torres, Kyle Bethea, Tyler Bethea, Kiernan Rodriguez-Cochran, Alivia Rodriguez-Cochran, Kalliyah Robinson, and Chelsea
Cochran; Thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
