Born on August 25, 1969, in Savannah, Georgia, to Lewis and Rosa Albright, Corey Lenard Albright was the fifth child of six siblings. His position as a younger son in the family set the course for building his strong character; because he observed and learned from his parents and siblings how to be a caring, loyal, hardworking, and devoted man. These traits were also the foundation for cultivating his objectiveness, charisma, and charm, which were the essence of Corey’s personality.
Corey began his formative education in Savannah and after graduation from elementary school. He attended Savannah High School and Richard Arnold High School. Later, he proudly earned his GED and successfully trained to become a first-class barber. However, Corey did not stop there; always eager to learn new things and one day become an entrepreneur, Corey learned construction work under the tutelage of his beloved dad and became a master cement finisher. Later, he was employed by his uncle, John Albright “Bo” and commuted from Savannah to Daytona, Florida, while working for his uncle’s company, where he categorically sharpened his skills to enable him to finally fulfill his life’s dream of becoming self-employed. Corey began his own construction and home improvement company because of his unwavering desire to improve his life and become a positive influence in the community.
Corey married Angela Jackson and this union produced a daughter, Korjani of whom he was very proud of her many accomplishments. After the marriage was dissolved; Corey focused his attention on his career and health and recently concentrated on prayer and church attendance. A week before his transition from earth to glory, Corey rededicated his life to God after Bible study.
Corey leaves to cherish his memories: his loving parents, Elder Lewis and Overseer Elder Rosa L. Albright, his daughters, Korjani Albright and Kyneisha Green; his son, Keon Green; his grandmother, Bertha May Williams; his siblings, Carolyn Ferguson, Lewis Albright, Jr. (Sharon), Yvonne Wright (Leonard), Michael Albright, Kelvin B. Albright, LaToya Moultrie; his God-daughter; Jakaya Hunte; his grand-daughters, Kyn’zhaia, Kyn’zhana, Dyn’neija, and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and special friends. Corey’s memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who loved him.
