Curtis Lecount, Jr. Obituary

I have gone to a place where all mankind must go. It is a place beyond an open gate. All have been invited but only a chosen few will stay.  This place holds eternal promise. I have gone to a place of everlasting peace.  This is a place where there is no pain or sorrow, and teardrops have ceased.  To my family and friends;  although, you may not understand my departure, God’s will must be done. I pray that each of you will find comfort in knowing that the true measure of a person’s life is not how long one lives, but how a person spends the time given to him by God Almighty.

An amazing gift from God, Curtis “CJ” Lecount, Jr., was born on August 15, 1986, to Curtis Lecount and Karen Wrice in Brunswick, Georgia.

Curtis received his formal education in the Glynn County School System in Brunswick, GA, and was a 2005 graduate. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with Philadelphia Overcomers Church of Deliverance, where he served as a faithful member.

Curtis enjoyed grilling, watching basketball, especially Lebron James. He absolutely loved gathering with his family for any event. He loved “S” Town and was affectionately called “Fat Boy.” He loved being the life of the party. His smile and laugh were contagious. He was always able to get a laugh out of anybody. Most of all, he loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Henrietta Williams and Harrison Lecount; maternal grandfather, Nathan Alexander and a very special friend and cousin, Rodderick Lecounte.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted parents, Curtis Lecount, Sr., and Karen (Rev. Johnny) Wrice; grandmother, Ludessa Farrow; Godmother, Loretta (Dale) Jackson; his siblings, George (Tiffany) Alexander of Brunswick, GA, Natisha (Everet) Lecount of Aurora, CO, Adreica Fairley of Brunswick, GA, Jaquest Alexander of Brunswick, GA, Fantasia Alexander of Brunswick, GA, Tony (Shea) Wrice of McDonough, GA and Felicia (Dave) Wrice of Houston, TX; nieces and nephews, Kyler Alexander, Jalen Lecount, Jayden Lewis, Braxton Fairley, Khalani Alexander, Jayden Wrice, Josh Wrice and Dez Wynn; devoted friends, Bobby, Tiffany, Ronald, Jimmy, and Chantel; along with a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
