Daniel Lee Bradley Sr

Because I failed to stop for death, death kindly stopped for me. When that ship of death stopped, I welcomed my departure from this land because life has been good to me. I was once told that great souls die and sometimes memories fade away, but I am leaving each of you my legacy because God Almighty has set me free. There’s peace and serenity on this ship. No matter how rough the road of life has been, whenever I had to go against the grain, I took this ship because my Master was on board. The ship of life began for Daniel Lee Bradley, Sr., on October 20, 1944, when God blessed the late Julius and the late Katie Williams Bradley with this bundle of joy in Brunswick, Georgia.

Dan received his formal education in the local school system in Sterling, Georgia. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with First African Baptist, where he served as a deacon. In his leisure, he enjoyed watching old westerns like Gunsmoke, Rifleman, and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Daniel Lee Bradley, Sr. was formerly married to Earlene Brown of Brunswick, GA. He was employed by ILA Local 1423 as a Header until his retirement in 2012.

Daniel has taken many different voyages throughout his life but his voyage came to an end on March 15, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Katie Bradley; sister, Wilma Bradley; brothers, Alex Bradley, Julius Bradley and William Bradley.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Daniel (Bridget) Bradley, Jr. of Brunswick, GA, Terry (Marlaine) Bradley of Leesburg, VA; daughters, Charitha (Charles) Herrington, Jr. of Darien, GA, Tequila Bradley, Terra (Chris Evans) Bradley, Tashena Bradley all of Brunswick, GA; grandchildren, Daniel Bradley III, Joshua Bradley, Jasmine Bradley, Charles Herrington III, Jazzmin Bradley, Imani Herrington, Terry “TJ” Bradley, Jr., Darry Herrington, Katia Bradley, “Mr. Julius” Bradley, Katelyn Bradley, Davanna Herrington, Ohn Jyre Bradley. Rijo Jones and BraDan Bradley; sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Reather Bradley, Rev. Dr. Betty Bradley, Julia Bradley all of Miami, FL, Ruby Bradley, Katie Bradley, Minister Dorothy Bradley Alford all of Brunswick, GA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
