Deacon Clifford Jackson Obituary

Deacon Clifford Jackson was born on June 9, 1944, in Brunswick, Georgia, to the late Mr. Earl Jackson and Mrs. Minnie Jackson. He received his early education in the Glynn County School System and graduated from Risley High School in Brunswick, Georgia.

At a young age, Clifford accepted Christ as his Savior, beginning a lifelong walk of faith and service. He united with Greater Works Ministries, where he served faithfully as a Deacon. His devotion to God, his church, and his community was evident in his humble spirit, his willingness to serve, and his steadfast commitment to ministry.

During his time in New York City, Deacon Jackson was united in holy matrimony to Ida Mae Roberson. Their union was blessed with five children: Taverick Roberson, Vincent Jackson, Shelecia Roberson, Carol Roberson, and Cicely Roberson. He was a loving father whose quiet strength and guidance will be remembered.

Deacon Jackson dedicated his time and heart as a volunteer with Southeast Georgia Health System, where his kindness and gentle presence touched many lives.

On June 23, 2026, Deacon Clifford Jackson peacefully departed this life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Jackson; parents, Earl and Minnie Jackson; son, Taverick Roberson; and siblings, Earl Jackson, Jr., Clarence Jackson, Lillian Walker, and Tommy Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Vincent Jackson, Shelecia Roberson McLurkin, Carol Roberson, and Cicely Roberson Hawkins; siblings, Thelma Louise (Sammy) Hudson and Helen Slay; twelve grandchildren; nine great‐grandchildren; close friend, Willie Simmons; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Deacon Clifford Jackson lived a life marked by faith, service, and love. His legacy will continue to shine through the many lives he touched and the family he cherished.
