For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:6-7
When the time comes to bid this life farewell, we should find comfort in knowing that a loving God will be there with us to guide us to our new home.
Only God is the giver of life, so on January 31, 1954, in Brunswick, Georgia, God gave the Coleman family a talented musician by the name of Dewayne Leon Coleman. He was affectionately known to his family and friends as “Pig”.
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8). Most people desire success in life, and they define it in various ways. Dewayne left his earthly home and entered eternal rest to be with the Lord. Preceding him in death are his mother, Ellen Coleman; brothers, Herman and Ricky Coleman.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Janetta Bailey; sister, Darlene Robinson of Brunswick, GA; four brothers, Robert Coleman (Rose) of Newport News, VA, James Coleman of Brunswick, GA, Willie Coleman (Valerie) of Midway, GA and Robbie Robinson of Brunswick, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
