Ms. Diane Lacount was born on May 4, 1958, to the late Harrison Lecount and Henrietta Williams (the late Ernest Williams, Sr., stepfather). Diane attended the public schools of Glynn County and was a 1976 graduate of Brunswick High School.
For 21 years, she worked at Cork’s Cleaners and then later went to work at Coastal Cleaners for the next 15 years, until her death. She was a faithful member of Philadelphia the Overcomers Church of Deliverance. There she served as Youth Sunday School Teacher, Leader of the Intercessor Prayer Team, and as a Minister. On Saturday, September 4, 2021, the Lord called one of his very own to be with him in the home that he has prepared for her in Heaven.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Harrison Lecount and Henrietta Williams; stepfather, Ernest Williams, Sr.; one son, Roderick Lacount; brothers, Alfonso Lecount and Michael Williams; and sister, Norman Jean Alexander. Diane leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted son, Larry Morten III; grandsons, Tyson, Jason, and Archie Jr; granddaughters, Laila, Alexia, and Ansley; three brothers, Samuel (Carol) Lacount, Curtis Lecount, and Ernest (Barbara) Williams; two sisters, Ethel (Rodney) Howard and Althea (Kelvin) Cook; two goddaughters, Latrelle Howard and Tawanna Cooper; two uncles, James (Alma) Harris of Perry, FL, and William (Diane) Cash of Brunswick, GA; four aunts, Louise Stephens of Brunswick, GA, Blanche Mitchell of Orange, NJ, Louise (Joe) Wynn of Riceboro, GA, and Mary Lecount of West Palm Beach, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and her Philadelphia Church family
Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside services must wear a mask. We will also limit the number of persons allowed to enter the funeral home at any given period during the viewing process. We ask that you leave the premise upon exiting the building.
