Dianne (Young) Jones

Dianne Y. Jones was born on March 13, 1948, to Albert Young and Evelyn Israel in Brunswick, Georgia. Dianne received her formal education at Risley High School in Brunswick, Georgia. She furthered her education in Philadelphia, PA and later became a nurse.

Dianne was a member of St. Athanasius Episcopal Church in Brunswick, Georgia. In her leisure she enjoyed traveling and entertaining people. She was employed by the University of Miami as Head Bookkeeper until her retirement in 2007.

Dianne Y. Jones departed this life on December 4, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Young; her mother, Evelyn Israel; her brother, Ronald McCrae; and her sister, Alberta Louise Israel.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, LaTarrance (Sandra) Young and Elmo (Melanie) Polite; two grandsons, Brian Young and LaTarrance Young, Jr.; three granddaughters, LaToya Wilkerson, Mercedez (Chris) Coley, and Siera Young; five great grandchildren, Brianna Roberts, Marquis Polite, Jazmine Polite, Immanuel Coley and Myles Coley; one great- great grandchild, Lei’lani Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside or funeral service, either inside or outside, must wear a mask. We will also limit the number of persons allowed to enter the funeral home or any other facility at any given period during the viewing process.  We ask that you leave the premise upon exiting the building. The family is most appreciative to each of you for all acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time in their lives.
