Dolores Washington Obituary

Mrs. Dolores Williams Washington was born on September 10, 1938, to the parentage of Julius Williams, Sr. and Willie Ann Johnson. She was lovingly raised by her grandmother, Blanche Johnson, who played a significant role in her upbringing and early life.

Dolores spent much of her early years in New Jersey, where she developed lifelong values of faith, family, and perseverance. Later in life, she relocated to Brunswick, Georgia, where she continued to build meaningful relationships and touched the lives of many with her kindness and warm spirit.

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Mrs. Washington peacefully answered the Master's Call at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Georgia, surrounded by love and care.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Julius Williams, Sr. and Willie Ann Johnson; her husband, Eddie Washington and several siblings.

Mrs. Washington leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children: one son, Carvin (Sharon) Davis of Columbia, South Carolina, and one daughter, Tia Davis Brannon of Columbia, South Carolina.

She is also lovingly remembered by a special nephew and cousin whom she affectionately referred to as her children, Dr. Tabiyes Williams (Quanza) of Leesburg, Georgia and Joyce Faye Shackleford (Keith) of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren, Aytheria Davis and Octavius Davis; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Valerie Pearman. In addition, she leaves to mourn her passing a special sister-in-law, Mrs. Doris Washington of Raleigh, North Carolina and a brother-in-law, Mr. Joseph (Ethel) Washington of New Jersey, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends who will truly miss her presence, love and gentle spirit.

Mrs. Washington's life was a testament to love, resilience and devotion to family. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
