Dominique Davis Obituary

Dominique Antoine Davis was born on May 31, 1985, to Lee Carol Davis and Charles Stanley, Jr., in Brunswick, Georgia. He was educated in the public schools of Glynn County and graduated from Glynn Academy High School in Brunswick, Georgia. After graduation, he furthered his education at Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in computer science. He earned a full athletic scholarship and was a member of Crowder College Baseball Team. Dominique Davis accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of seven years old and was united with First African Baptist Church in St. Simons Island, Georgia, where he served as a Junior Usher and was a member of the Junior Choir.

Dominique’s personal hobby was baseball, and he was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. His favorite colors were red and black. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing baseball and was employed by Aramark at Epworth-By-The-Sea as a dishwasher. Since the angels came for me; much sooner than each of you planned, you should brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand. Dominique Davis departed this life on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marilyn Ramsey, grandfather, Harry “Tom” Johnson, and paternal grandparents, Charles and Ethel Stanley. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Lee Davis; father, Charles Stanley, Jr.; two sisters, Nacoasia and Selina (Josh); three brothers, Jovan, Kelci, and Charles III; very special friend, Denise Rosario; six aunts, Marilyn (David) Ellis, Annette (Orange) Moore, Phyllis Davis, Dawn Davis, Linda Lee and Ethel Stanley; six uncles, John (Cindy) Davis, Reginald (Vicki) Devine, Nathaniel Ramsey, Gregory Stanley, Gary Stanley and Eric (Vicki) Stanley; six nieces; four nephews; and a host of cousins, teammates, and friends.
