Today, we find peace and understanding because we realize that God is close to the brokenhearted and he comforts those whose spirits are crushed. McArthur is now resting in the arms of God Almighty, set free, missed but never forgotten. He is now at peace because no one is guaranteed life, which is why each moment is so precious.
Dr. McArthur Griffin was born on April 16, 1951, to the late Samuel and Minnie P. Griffin in Jewel, Georgia. Dr. McArthur Griffin earned a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. After graduation, he furthered his education at the College of Optometry in Memphis, TN and later became an optometrist.
Dr. McArthur Griffin accepted Christ as his Savior and was united with St. Paul AME.
Dr. McArthur Griffin was united in holy matrimony with Marsha Williams on September 19, 1975, in Brunswick, Georgia. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Jessica Griffin.
He was employed by Visioncheck as an Optometrist.
Dr. McArthur Griffin departed this life on September 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Minnie Pearl Griffin.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Jessica Griffin; grandson, Noah Alexander James Waklatsi-William; sisters, Theola Sears, Marie Mack (Donald), and Betty Nobles (Theodore); brothers, Reverend Jonny Griffin (Annette) and Ron Griffin (Cathy); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
