EDDIE L. DAVIS was born on December 29, 1947, to Alonzo and Catherine Davis in Hoboken, GA. Eddie L. Davis received his formal education in the Brantley County, GA, and Waycross, GA, school systems. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with St. Athanasius Episcopal Church where he served as a faithful member.
Eddie L. Davis was united in holy matrimony with Blanche Alexander on August 8, 1959, in Brunswick, GA. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Blanche E. Davis II.
In his leisure, he enjoyed being a part of the Masonic Order, gardening, attending to his chickens, and doing maintenance on lawn mowers. He was employed by Hercules/Union Camp as a puller for three years and as a log remover for ten years. He worked at the Shell Station off of Exit 29 for ten years.
Brother Eddie Davis was a member of several houses in the Masonic Order including Independence Lodge #69 FAM, Glynn Chapter #41 HRAM; Kenneth R. Gibbs Council #16 RSM; Elmo V. Myers Commandry #27 KT; and John Wesley Dobbs Consistory #302, AASRM. He was very loyal to all of his Masonic Houses.
Eddie L. Davis departed this life on July 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche A. Davis; grandson, Brandan L. Baker; parents, Alonzo and Catherine Davis; and brothers, Charles Davis, Sammy Davis, and Alonzo Davis, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories and continue with his legacy: his daughter, Blanche E. (Zeke) Tate; granddaughter, Kameron Baker; great-granddaughter, Zola Baker; grandson, Q; goddaughter, Dewanda Flowers; bonus children, James Harris, Gloria Bailey, and Aundrea Green; sisters, Rebecca Hall, Josephine, Linda, Jesse Mae, Patricia, Theresa, and Marlene; brothers, Richard, Allen, and Harry; special friends, Alan (Maureen) Ramsey, Mr. Jack, Lou, Mrs. Pearl, Mrs. Brenda Bryant, and Mrs. Arshell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.
