Eliza Ann Terry was born on April 22, 1929. She was the daughter of the late James and Julie Gadson. She was born and raised in Burton, SC. She passed on Monday, February 3, 2025, at her home in Yemassee, South Carolina.
Eliza Ann Terry was quiet, yet bold when she needed to be, kind, loyal, vibrant, and intelligent with an infectious smile. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1961. She remained a steadfast and devout member of the Yemassee Congregation until her death, assisting whenever and wherever needed.
On February 16, 1952, she married Cleveland "Zug" Terry and in 1958 they established their home, raising their five children in Yemassee, SC. This is where Eliza Ann remained until her death.
Eliza Ann leaves to cherish her memories; four daughters, Mary (Timothy) Davis of Trevose, PA, Katherine Cox of Hampton SC, Brenda (Lloyd) Edwards of Dalzell, SC, and Ethel (Hank) Singleton of Seabrook, SC; sister, Rebecca Gadson of Atlanta, GA; one sister-in-law, Barbara Gadson of Orlando, FL; one last living aunt, Flora Brown of Jacksonville, FL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.
Eliza Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Terry; brothers, Paul and Isaac Gadson; only son, Roy Kevin Terry; and grandson, Kevin Joseph Terry.
