Ella Atkinson Obituary

A Time to Live

Ella Mae Atkinson was born to the late Sidney Atkinson, Sr., and the late Madreen Coakley Atkinson. She was born on October 17, 1937, in the Honey Creek Community in the city of Waverly, Georgia, and the county of Camden. Being reared by a family that made Christ the head of their life, Ella at an early age received Christ as her personal Savior and joined Mount Sinai Baptist Church under the pastor leadership of the late Reverend C. S. Hardee, where she became a member of the choir. She later joined Mount Orum Baptist Church. Due to her love of the church, she was always a dutiful and faithful member.

She was a graduate of Ralph Bunche High School in 1956. After graduating from high school, she worked at King and Prince Seafood for many years. She also worked for Sossner Tap and Tool for many years until she retired. She enjoyed going to church and singing in the choir. She also enjoyed working in her yard, and she was always cooking. She enjoyed being around her grandson and being around family and friends.
