We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
Emory Maynard Brown, Jr., was a very special person who knew his life was purposefully and divinely orchestrated by God. Although he faced many obstacles and challenges in life, he knew that they were tests of his faith. While his death is hard for us to bear, Emory has found peace in a “brighter day on the other side.” He is now free to enjoy a life without any pain and suffering. Emory was born on September 1, 1971, to the late Emory Brown, Sr., and Janice Brown in Atlanta, Georgia. Emory received his formal education at Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia.
Emory Maynard Brown, Jr., was united in holy matrimony to Carroll Jane Morgan on February 14, 1998, in Brunswick, Georgia. Their union was blessed with two children: Diashekia A. Morgan and Joseph A. Morgan.
In his leisure, he enjoyed listening to music and fishing. He was employed by Auto Zone as a cashier for many years. Everyone knew that Emory loved his family, other people, and that he loved laughing and making others laugh with his contagious smile.
On December 31, 2023, God sent his angels to reclaim his very own. He was preceded in death by his father, Emory Maynard Brown, Sr.; wife of 20 years, Carroll Jane Brown; and his sister, Deidre Brown.
Emory leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Diashekia Morgan; son, Joseph Morgan; mother, Janice Brown; sister, Raquel McClendon; brother-in-law, Danny McClendon; one granddaughter, Ariyah Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and dear friends
