Estella R. Lattany was born on October 18, 1929, to Lora and Maggie Wooten Ryals in Towns, Georgia. She received her formal education in the Telfair County schools of Towns, Georgia.
Estella R. Lattany accepted Jehovah as Savior in July 2003, at the age of 73 and was united with Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Estella Mae Ryals was united in holy matrimony with Albert Howard Lattany on June 24 in Darien, Georgia. Their union was blessed with two children: Albert Howard Lattany II and Margaret Denise Lattany.
In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, baking, housekeeping, fashion, and music. However, she loved her family most of all. She was employed by American Airlines Sky Chefs Food Service as a cook and cashier for forty years. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and AARP.
Estella R. Lattany departed this life on September 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. Lattany.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Margaret D. Lattany of Brunswick, GA; son, Albert H. Lattany of Brunswick, GA; two granddaughters, Jaraine (Jason) Jacqui of Denver, CO and Lela Lattany of New York; three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, all of Denver, CO; five sisters, Lora Davis, Pearl Hart, Elnora Banks, Lorinne (Chester) Dobson, all of Brunswick, GA, and Priscilla (James) Austell of Waverly, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, many friends, and the Golden Isles Hospice and Intrepid staff.
