“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain; for the former things are passed away.” Revelations 21:4
When that train of death stopped, I welcomed my departure from this land because life has been great to me for eighty years. No matter how rough the road has been over the past three years, I took this train because my Master told me that my time on this side was over. There’s peace and serenity on this train. I know my sudden departure has caused each of so much pain. Don’t think of me as gone, think of me as traveling on a trip and one day each of you will come to join me here. Frances Mae Frazier was born on April 19, 1942, to Elliot and Amy
Frazier in Waverly, Georgia. She was the thirteenth child of thirteen children. She received her education in the public schools of Camden county and attended Ralph Bunche High School in Woodbine, Georgia.
She was employed by King Prince for approximately thirteen years. Frances accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Mount Calvary Christian Center under the leadership of Dr. Lofton, where she served as a member of the choir. Later in time, the name of the church changed to Calvary Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Jeffery Muchison.
When a man finds a wife, he finds a good thing. Frances Mae Frazier was united in holy matrimony to Horace L. Jones, Sr., on April 27, 1963, in Brunswick, Georgia. Their union was blessed with four beautiful children: Sharon, Horace, Jr., Kelvin, and Melanie.
Frances loved a lot of things and colors, but her favorite color was blue. She enjoyed going to church, gospel singing, being with her family, and cooking. She was known for her favorite iced tea and banana pudding. She was a great cook.
Frances lived a full life, but God saw she was tired, and the hills were too hard to climb. She quietly succumbed to the Lord and departed this life on June 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents and all twelve siblings. She was the final chapter of life for Eilliot and Amy Frazier.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 59 years, Horace Jones, Sr., of Brunswick, GA; daughters, Sharon Jones and Melanie Grovner, both of Brunswick, GA; sons, Horace (Kristie) Jones, Jr., and Kelvin (Tammy) Jones, both of Brunswick, GA, Tony Maxwell (Tawanna) of Jacksonville, FL, and Demetrius Davis of Atlanta, GA; 13 grandchildren, Nikki Jones, Lateesha Atkinson (Terry), Horace Jones III, Quinton Graham, Anthony Grovner, Jr., Rhenika (Terrell) Smith, Kelvin Jones, Jr., Lashauna (Kameron) Jones-Shade, Trey Jones,Tyrease Jones, Taleah Bacon, Taevion Jones, and Trinity Jones; 16 great-grandchildren; godchildren, Carolyn Baker, Christine Rogers, Rodney Cohen, Anthony Hand, Carl Carroll, and Antwione Peterson; close cousin and very close friend, Bishop T. L Benton; caretakers and nurses, Rashieka Flowers, Kawana Woods, Porsha Saneers, Allison Wells, Jaime Gurnsey, and Richard Dancel; and a host of nieces and nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
