Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
Angels are sent to earth from God above. Earth needed a handsome, strong-willed, caring individual, so God lent Jerrod Foster to this world on February 18, 2009. He gave Laketia King and Joseph Foster, Sr., of Brunswick, Georgia, an amazing inquisitive bundle of joy. Although his time with us was brief, it was filled with love, joy, and boundless energy. From an early age, Jarrod was a beacon of faith, having been welcomed as a member of O Street Church of God. His spiritual journey began there, and his presence was a blessing to all who knew him.
Never question why God called me home at such a young age. I want to leave you with these words of wisdom. God had a better plan for my life, so He gave my mother the unselfish wisdom to use me as a vessel to allow many others to live a longer life on earth.
He received his formal education in the Glynn County public school system and attended Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia. He treasured every moment spent with his family and friends, bringing joy and laughter into their lives. Jerrod was a devoted mama’s boy, always seeking comfort and love from his mother. He was also a great big brother, offering guidance and support to his siblings.
Although Jerrod fought hard to live, he eventually succumbed to death. He did not get to live the life he desired on earth, but he felt convinced and was assured that Christ had a glorious life awaiting him in Heaven. The Bible assures the believers in I Corinthians 15:43, “That although our bodies are buried in brokenness, they will be raised in glory; they are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.” God sent his angels on January 31, 2025, to reclaim His gift to this world. Jerrod “Cheesy” Foster was preceded in death by his
grandmother, Julie Marie King; his uncle, Jajuan King; and his stepfather, Brandon Higginbotham.
He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Laketia King; father, Joseph Foster, Sr.; siblings, Kanijah and Joseph Foster, Jr., Braylon, Blessid, and Bria Higginbotham; bonus siblings, Eric White, Ivy Wilson, Jyrion Gills, Dadeyonta Williams and Joria Foster; niece and nephew, Su’Kyree and Stephon Foster; grandmother, Lora Easton; aunts, Camora Easton, Brittany Easton, and Latoria Foster; uncle, Cameron Franklin; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
