John Jaudon Obituary

The most amazing thing about life is that it takes us to various places for many unknown reasons, but in the end, it returns us to the life where it all began. The life of John Albert Jaudon, Sr., began and ended in Brunswick, Georgia. He was born to Harry Jaudon and Mrs. Elizabeth Jaudon on July 3, 1936. Known for his intellectual abilities, he attended and graduated from Risley High School in Brunswick, Georgia. After graduation, he attended Virginia Union College in Richmond, Virginia, and enlisted in the United States Marines, receiving an honorable discharge in 1963. He was employed by Falcon Products in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a foreman, where he retired after forty-one years of employment.

He was united in marriage to Vanessa P. Jaudon in June of 1983. After leaving Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and relocating to Tennessee and Missouri, John wanted to settle in the town that he always remembered and loved, Brunswick, Georgia.

Growing up in a family with a strong spiritual background, John gave his life to Christ as a young man at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he attended with his family. He reunited with Mt. Olive Baptist Church after moving back to Brunswick until his health started declining. Several months of his final stages of care were given at Harborview Nursing Facility in Jesup, Georgia, by a wonderful team of caregivers.

On November 24, 2025, John moved to his resting place to join those relatives that had gone before him. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Harry Jaudon and Elizabeth Jaudon; son, Marlon Jaudon; and daughter, Vanessa D. Jaudon.

He leaves to mourn: his wife, Vanessa P. Jaudon; son, John A. (Gwendolyn) Jaudon of Philadelphia, PA; stepdaughter, Sharon M. Hicks of Texas; five siblings, Mary Bowden of Atlanta, GA, Rosetta Abraham of Charlotte, NC, Elizabeth Wright of Atlanta, GA, Harriett Bell of Texas, and Aldren Jaudon of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers-in-law, Stephen Berry of California, Gregory (Annie) Berry of New Jersey, and Darrell (Tonya) Berry of Tennessee; three granddaughters, Mackensie Hicks of Texas, and Johnelle Jaudon and Danielle Jaudon, both of Philadelphia, PA; three great-grandchildren, Amoi Cerdan, Carter Ragsdale, and Caleb Ragsdales, all of Philadelphia, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
