Justavian Simmons Obituary

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4

To all my loved ones who I am leaving behind, please be forever grateful and thankful for the happiness we’ve shared. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with the memories that we’ve created together. As you celebrate the end of my life’s journey, I pray that each of you will find comfort in knowing that a loving and compassionate God know what’s best for each of us. I always had this inclination that my time on earth was limited, so I tried to take advantage of my brief time on earth by embracing each of you with my beautiful smile and showing each of you so much love. Don’t worry about me; I am leaving behind the best thing that has ever happened in my life, so help her to reach her fullest potentials.

JUSTAVIAN LAVAR SIMMONS was born on August 3, 1999, to Shanell Simmons and Bromekus Hudson in Augusta, Georgia. He received his formal education at Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia. Justavian accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of ten and was united with Life Changers Fellowship Ministries where he served as a member.

Time well spent reflects a life well lived, which summarizes his time on earth. No empire lasts forever, and all that matters is whether we did what we could with the life that was given to us. Justavian’s life was brief, but he enjoyed it to the fullest. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing basketball, making music, swimming, dancing, and drawing. His favorite color was blue. He was employed by Gracemore Nursing and Rehab as a Dietary Aid for two years.

Today, we are bidding farewell to a marvelous father, endearing son, cherished brother, amazing grandson, and lovable uncle who has joined that innumerable caravan which moves to that mysterious realm. The eternity of his love reaches beyond time. On October 6, 2025, an angel was called home from this earth. He leaves to cherish his memories: his one and only daughter whom he adored, Janae Denise Simmons; mother, Shanell Simmons; father, Bromekus Hudson; brothers, Kamarius Simmons, Reggie Pinkston, Verdez Pinkston, Bjha Hudson, and Bromekus Hudson II; sisters, Shakaylan Pinkston, Shakera Simmons, Bianca Hudson, Brianna Hudson, Brooklynne Hudson, and Breajha Hudson; maternal grandfather, Willie L. Simmons; maternal grandmother, Robbie Simmons; paternal grandmother, Josephine Reese-Hill; paternal grandfather, Sylvester Hudson; devoted aunt, Carolyn Seals; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, other relatives, and friends.
