Kashandra Gordon

To all my loved ones that I am leaving behind, please be forever grateful and thankful for the happiness we’ve shared. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with the memories that we created together. As you celebrate the end of my life’s journey, I pray that each of you will find comfort in knowing that a loving and compassionate God knows what is best for each of us. I always had this inclination that my time on earth was limited; so, I tried to take advantage of my brief time on earth by embracing each of you with my beautiful smile and showing each of you so much love. Don’t worry about me; I am leaving behind the best thing that has ever happened in my life, so help her to reach her fullest potentials.

Time well spent reflects a life well lived. No empire lasts forever and all that matters is whether we did what we could with the life that was given to us. This early departure date was written in the Book of Life when I was born on December 19, 1992, to Kennard Gordon and Maryann Morris at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, South Carolina. They name their amazing, strong willed, and awesome child Kashandra Shanice Gordon. Kashandra received her formal education in the public school system in Hampton County School District 1 and 2 and was a 2011 graduate of Wade Hampton High School. “Pound,” as she was affectionately known, loved fashion, being in the camera, and enjoyed uplifting and encouraging others to be FABULOUS. She was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Rayne A. Gordon and Wynter Rose Gordon.

Today, we are bidding farewell to a marvelous mother, endearing daughter, a cherished sister, and an amazing aunt who has joined that innumerable caravan which moves to that mysterious realm. The eternity of her love reaches beyond time. On October 9, 2024, an angel was called home from this earth. Kashandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Wynter Rose Gordon; grandmother, Henrietta Gordon; niece, Trinity Smalls; and nephew, Terek Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Little Miss Rayne A. Gordon; mother, Maryann Morris; father, Kennard (Sherell) Gordon; grandfather, Marion Gordon; siblings, Natasha and Kimberly Smalls, Monique James, Eugene Morris, Javasha Morris (Herbert Bostick), Keneshia Gordon, Saisha Martinez, Chelsea Martinez, and Britney (Jacquez) Sanders; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
