Kelvin Williams Obituary

My life was beautiful; for as long as it lasted, but the journey of my life has come to an end after forty-two years. Please find comfort in knowing that I have no regrets whatsoever. Somethings in life are impossible for mankind to fully understand. No matter how long God has entrusted our loved ones here on earth, their sudden departure is hard to understand. As a family our hearts are heavy, so lean and depend on God Almighty for your strength. You must accept God’s will and abide by his holy words. The bible tells us that to be absent from the body, is to be in the presence of the Lord. In light of the sorrow in our hearts, it is with humble submission and reverence that we accept the will of God.  On February 3, 1981, God blessed Althea Cook of Darien, Georgia and Maurice Wright of Chesapeake, Virginia with a beautiful boy that they named Kelvin Williams.

Kelvin received his formal education at Brunswick High School in Brunswick, GA. In his leisure, he enjoyed cooking, his family, sports and hanging with his friends. He was self-employed as a mover.

Kelvin Jarrod Williams departed this life on November 24, 2023. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Henrietta Williams; his paternal grandparents, James and Ella Wright; great grandmother, Ethel Lee Cash; uncles, Alphonso Lecounte and Michael Williams; aunts, Norma Alexander and Diane Lecounte; cousins, Roderick Lecounte and Curtis (CJ) Lecounte.

He leaves to cherish his memories: parents, Althea and Kelvin Cook of Darien, GA and Maurice and Crystal Wright of Chesapeake VA; children, Aubree Walker, Maddox Williams, Parker Williams, Kaylee Williams; stepdaughter, Daviyonna King; siblings, Kennith Williams, Brunswick, GA, Tiffanie Williams, Atlanta, GA, Maurice Wright, Jr., Manassas, VA, Rachel Bunting, Chesapeake, VA, Latasha Foreman, Jacksonville, FL, Latoya (John) Stephens, Jacksonville, FL; stepsister, Santoria Axson, Brunswick, GA; uncles, Samuel (Carol) Lecounte, Curtis Lecounte, Ernest (Barbara) Williams all of Brunswick, GA; aunt, Ethel (Rodney) Howard; god sister, Denisha Cummings; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to the current state of (the COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside or funeral services, either inside or outside, must wear a mask. We will also limit the number of persons allowed to enter the funeral home or any other facility at any given period during the viewing process.  We ask that you leave the premise upon exiting the building. The family is most appreciative of each of you for all acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time in their lives.
