Kevin Robinson Obituary

My life was beautiful for as long as it lasted, but the journey of my life has come to an end after only sixty-two years. Please find comfort in knowing that I have no regrets whatsoever. Somethings in life are impossible for mankind to fully understand and death is just one of those things. The bible tells us that the road of death is a road that all mankind must travel all alone. No matter how long God has entrusted our loved ones here on earth, their sudden departure is always hard to understand. As a family, I know that your hearts are heavy, so lean and depend on God Almighty for your strength. You must accept God’s will and abide by his holy words. The bible tells us that to be absent from the body, is to be in the presence of the Lord. On August 6, 1961, in Brunswick, Georgia, God blessed Rydell and Sarah Thomas with an amazing son who they named Kevin “Buster” Robinson.

Kevin received his formal education in the Glynn County School System in Brunswick, GA. He further his education at Coastal Community College in Brunswick, GA and later became an experienced golfer in the state of New York. He accepted Christ as his Savior at St. Paul Baptist Church at the age of five and was united with St. Paul, where he was a frequent visitor and member. Kevin was never blessed with children of his own, but his dog Gucci Robinson was his faithful son. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, grilling, fishing, and meeting new people. Kevin enlisted into the United States Army in 1979. He was honorably discharged in 1980. He was employed by Strand Bistro and Chophouse as a concierge and maître d’ for 2 years until his passing.

Kevin “Buster” Robinson departed this life on November 16, 2023. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ramona “Charlie” Neely.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Sarah Thomas; father, Rydell Thomas; his siblings, Leonard E. (Cheryl) Davis, Penny Davis Lee, Brewstina (Eugene) Lecounte, and Alicia Davis; a host of niece and nephews, Dominique Davis, Rory Davis, Gregory Lee, Valarie Davis, Tammy Dixon, Ian Lecounte, Jazz Lecounte, Corey Davis, Quinton Davis, Shanekia Bradwell, Torrey (Tiffany) Davis; also a host of great grand nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
