LaDondee Lawrence was born on December 25, 1976, to the late Mr. Michael A. Slay and Mrs. Donna M. Butler in Brunswick, Georgia. LaDondee departed this life on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. LaDondee was educated in the Glynn County public school system.
He enjoyed his family most of all. He enjoyed his work at King & Prince Seafood and the family of friends that he made there. Everybody knew him as “Boo.” He was deeply loved by his family of the Dixville neighborhood. He will truly be missed by all. LaDondee leaves us with our memories of his love, his quiet manner, and his giving spirit.
He is survived by: his mother, Donna M. Butler; three daughters, Jadia Lawrence, LaTishia Vance, and LaTeshia Vance; four grandchildren, LaMiracle, Joi, Jai’sir and Loyal, all of Brunswick, GA; a blended family of five brothers, Lorenzo Lawrence and Darel (Julonda) Slay, both of Brunswick, GA, Michael Slay, Jr., of Jesup, GA, Dwayne Slay of Dallas, TX, and Derrick Slay of Jacksonville, FL; four sisters, LaWonda Herrington of Brunswick, GA, LaQuata Lynch of Brunswick, GA, Pamela (Rodney) Kelly of Dallas, GA, and Arlie (Kevin) Slay-Massey of Kingsland, GA; seven uncles, Barry (Karen) Slay of Atlanta, GA, Kenny Slay of Stockbridge, GA, Charlie (Ella) McDonald of Folkston, GA, Johnny Lawrence of Lithonia, GA, Dementrious (Joann) Muhammad of Darien, GA, Anthony (Charlene) Frazier of Savannah, GA, and William (Rita) Frazier of Shanghai, China; seven aunts, Dorothy Barnett of Springfield, NY, Betty Andrews, Maggie (David) Felder, Geraldine Lawrence, Joyce Green, and Cathy (Royal) Slay-Chip, all of Brunswick, GA, Karen (James) Waldon of Griffin, GA, and Johnetta Slay of Stockbridge, GA; thirteen nephews; eleven nieces; nine grandnephews; fourteen grandnieces; and great host of cousins and friends who join us in forever loving our Boo.
Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside or funeral service, either inside or outside, must wear a mask. We will also limit the number of persons allowed to enter the funeral home or any other facility at any given period during the viewing process. We ask that you leave the premise upon exiting the building. The family is most appreciative to each of you for all acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time in their lives.
