Langston (Raymond Austin, Jr.) Gamble, affectionately known as “Gamble,” was born February 16, 1959, to the late Langston Raymond Alston (Fannie) and Rose Forrester Gamble (Carl).
Langston graduated from Glynn Academy in 1977 and went on to join the U.S. Navy, where he retired in 1999. After retiring from the Navy, Langston began his truck-driving career with CCC and later transitioned to Walmart, with a total of 24 years of service until his passing. Langston married the love of his life, Yvonne Bristow Gamble, on July 20, 1995.
Langston was an avid sports fan who loved all Georgia teams. Of course, his favorite color was RED! He enjoyed grilling, entertaining family and friends, and relaxing by the pool.
He was preceded in death by: parents; daughter, Kriston Williams; and sibling, Karen Lynne Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy: a loving and devoted wife of 26 years; dedicated children, Langston Gamble, Jr., Gedell De Graffinreadt, Nyah De Graffinreadt, Tina Suggs (John), Calandra Gamble, and Peyton Williams; five grandchildren; siblings, Cheryl (Steve) Elam of Riceboro, GA, Carl Gamble (Vanessa), Yulanda Glenn of Jacksonville, FL, Pamela Austin of Conyers, GA, Dr. Kathyleen Wyatt (Steven) of Newport News, VA, Voi Atwater of Jacksonville, FL, and Kimberly Williams (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, FL; mother-in-law, Gedell Bristow; sisters-in-law, Sheila Bristow and Elaine Harnster (Larry); aunt, Barbra Anderson; best friend, Tony Ford of Jefferson, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
