“I am confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from this body, and to be present with the Lord.” —II Corinthians 5:8
My life was beautiful for as long as it lasted, but this journey of my life has come to an end. Please find comfort in knowing that I have no regrets whatsoever. I have traveled throughout this nation. I’ve enjoyed visiting many places and seeing so many things in my lifetime. Some things in life are impossible for mankind to fully understand. My life on earth was brief, but don’t prolong it with unnecessary grief. This was the plan God had for me, so family and friends, God has set me free. I don’t have to worry about the troubles of this world anymore.
Larry Jerome Mungin, Jr., was born on December 1, 1970, to the late Larry Mungin, Sr. and Adel Murphy Mungin Wright in Brunswick, Georgia. He was baptized at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was educated in the Glynn County public school system and was a 1988 graduate of Brunswick High School. After graduating from high school, he attended several different colleges. He later became a truck driver, serving for over twenty-six years. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He loved his family most of all.
He became a Mason and a Shriner. While there, he rose to the level of a 32nd degree Mason, following in the footsteps of his father, Larry Mungin, Sr., and grandfather, the late Isaac Mungin.
On July 27, 2025, God in his wise providence saw fit to call Larry, Jr., home to rest. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Mungin, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Adel Murphy Mungin Wright of Brunswick, GA; stepmother, Bernice Mungin of Brunswick, GA; three brothers, Patrick M. (Shakeya) Mungin of Brunswick, GA, Jerome Mungin of McIntosh County, GA, and Marcus Mungin of Brunswick, GA; one sister, Monica (Jerry) Ratliff of CO; and a host of aunties, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and many friends.
