Lee King, Sr. Obituary

I could not wait for death, so death kindly came for me. When the Angel of Death summoned me, I welcomed my departure from this land because life has been great to me. There’s peace and serenity on this journey called death. I took the road of death because I knew that my Master was waiting along the roadside to take me on to eternity. In life, we all have a beginning and a purpose. Lee Randle King was born on June 30, 1945, to the union of Robert Lee (R.L.) King and Edwinna Jones King in Eulonia, Georgia. He was educated in the McIntosh County school system and attended Todd Grant High School in Darien, Georgia.

In 1968, he joined the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged on June 15, 1981. After being discharged from the Navy, he was employed by the United States Navy as a mechanical maintenance engineer until his retirement in 2009. After retirement, Lee attended nursing school at the College of Coastal Georgia and was employed at King and Prince as a mechanic. In 2016, Lee and Nilda relocated to the Philippines. In his leisure, he enjoyed fixing cars, traveling and most of all helping people in need.

Lee Randle King was united in holy matrimony with Nilda Peralta on October 22, 1983, in San Narciso Zambales Philippines.

There’s an open gate at the end of the road. Beyond the gate, our loved one finds happiness and rest where they’ll meet other loved ones, so we find comfort in the thought... that our loving God knows best. Lee Randle King, Sr., departed this life on April 30, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee (R.L.) King and Edwinna Jones King.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Nilda Peralta King; sons, Lee R. (Stephon) King, Jr. of Antwerp, Belgium, and Michael Lee (Sandy Lee) King of Ridgefield, WA; three brothers, Frank (Annette) King of Milwaukee, WI, Charlie (Pearly) King of Peoria, IL and Willie King of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Gladys King of Peoria, IL, Bernice King and Joyce King both of Brunswick, GA; stepmother, Janie Bell King of Crescent, GA; half-brother, Elvin Jones of Atlanta, GA; one stepbrother, Moses Armstrong of Crescent, GA; two stepsisters, Rosemary (Luther) Flowers of Crescent, GA and Pearthenia Armstrong of Brunswick, GA; four grandchildren, Jenaya Lee King, Makiya Lee King, Michael Lee King II, and Mason Lee King all of Ridgefield, WA; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
