Leequan Christopher Tobler was born on April 23, 1975, at Jackson Memorial Hospital to his parents Clearyann Boykin (mother) and Eugene Calvin McClain (father). He departed peacefully on October 22, 2022.
Leequan was known to family and friends as “Bruhman.” As a child, he was very playful, enjoyed telling jokes and clowning around. He grew up in a loving and close-knitted family where he was the baby boy of the bunch. He tried his hardest to keep up with his big cousins who he loved so dearly.
He attended Lorah Park Elementary for his early education. Then on to Charles R. Drew Middle School. He graduated high school from Miami Springs Senior High in June 1994.
He became the father of Jacquan N. Tobler on January 4, 1995 and Shaquanda L. Tobler on March 26, 2002. By that time, he held a career at Joe’s Stone Crabs. In 2010, he relocated to and made Brunswick, GA his home.
He was the jokester of the family that made us all laugh with tears. He always seemed to make family gatherings a time of fun and laughter. He also was a big Miami Dolphins fan. Almost to the point where you thought he was a part of the Dolphins organization. Football was a sport he loved and played.
We may be sad to see him go but let’s keep his humor on replay and continue with the laughter. For his impact on our lives, continues in our hearts.
He is survived by his mother's: Clearyann Boykin and Janet Hamilton; stepfather: Herlydea Boykin; daughter: Shaquanda L. Tobler; granddaughter: Xi’nai K. Hamilton; sister: Jequita (Jerry) Milbrook; aunts: Diane (Michael) Norman, Helen Orr, Georgette (Ethron) Buie; uncles: Isaiah (Shirley) Staley, Eric Grant, Wade (Latoya) Orr, Lawrence Dallas and a host of other relatives and friends.
