Lillie Bostick Obituary

And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying. Neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4

We have gathered in the spirit of the Lord to bid our final farewell to an endearing mother and grandmother, a cherished daughter, a loving sister, and an amazing aunt, who has joined that innumerable caravan which moves to that mysterious realm. The eternity of her love reaches beyond time. Our family chain has been broken once again, but Lillie leaves behind memories that will linger in our minds and hearts forever. Time well-spent reflects a life well-lived. No empire lasts forever; no dynasty continues unbroken. Someday you and I will be mere legends. All that matters is whether we did what we could with the life that was given to us. On June 2, 1958, the world was blessed to receive a precious individual, Lillie Marie Ervin, who was born to the parentage of the late Clarence Ervin and the late Earline Deloach Ervin in Hampton County, South Carolina. On March 3, 2021, our Heavenly Father came down and plucked this “Rose” from His Garden of Life to be taken to her eternal home.

Lillie Marie Ervin Bostick received her education in the Hampton District #2 public school system and was a 1976 graduate of Estill High School, Estill, SC. She later furthered her education at Colorado Technical University, earning an Associate Degree. Lillie accepted Christ as her personal Savior and became a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Columbia SC. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and going to church. Before becoming ill, she was employed by Johnson Food Service as a cook. Lillie Marie Bostick was married to Ernest Bostick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Clarence Ervin.

She leaves to cherish many beautiful memories: children, Fredrick (Felicia) Bostick, Kendrick (Sharon) Bostick, Herbert (Javashia) Bostick, Deiondre Sexton, Pharoh Ross, and Quran Loadholt; grandchildren, Emory Deloach (special to her heart), Fredrick Bostick, Jr., Axle Bostick, Cherish Bostick, Lakeisha Bostick, Shaneque Bostick, Jashenna Mitchell, Javashia Green, Herbert Deloach III, Sin’cere Deloach, Ja’sian Deloach, and Journey Deloach; siblings, Earl (Elaine) Redenburg of Philadelphia, PA, Diane (Allen) Roberts of Fairfax, SC, Deloris (Leon) Cole of Newark, NJ, Retha (William) Reid of Luray, SC, Shirley (Ricky) Johnson of Estill, SC, Sam Ervin of Hardeeville, SC, Cynthia Ervin of Gillisonville, SC, Michael Ervin of Columbia, SC, and Cornelius (Toniece) Deloach of Columbia, SC; aunts and uncles, Johnny (Ella) Ervin of Scotia, SC, Daisy (John) Gordon of Estill, SC, Maryland Gray of Varnville, SC, Carrie Gourdine of Charlotte, NC, and Marion (Dempsey) Gourdine of Rock Hill, SC; friend, Sam Wlliams; special niece, Vonette Ervin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends
