Mack Goethe received his call to eternal rest on November 25, 2021, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born to his parents, the late Everlena Anderson and the late Heyward Goethe.
He was a trucker driver for over fifty years at Kaster Moving Company. This was his love and passion. He drove over two million miles and seen all fifty states. He enjoyed music especially the blues and cooking for anyone who came over to visit. He also enjoyed working on cars, hanging out with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his life-long companion, Dorothy Housey; son, Mack (Ant) Goethe; daughters, Faye Barrett- Morris, Cathy Whitley, Yolanda Goethe, Alicia Goethe, Tracy Goethe, Linda Goethe, Shawnee Goethe and Da’Jaa Fields; step-daughters, Renee Smith and Dorothy Davis; stepson, James Lark; brother, Heyward Goethe and Wordell Johnson; sisters, Everlee Goodwin, Carrie Harris, Gloria Goethe and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
He was predeceased by his sister, Queen E .Davis.
Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside services must wear a mask. We will also limit the number of persons allowed to enter the funeral home at any given period during the viewing process. We ask that you leave the premise upon exiting the building. The family is most appreciative to each of you for all acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time in their lives.
