Margaret received her formal education at Terrell High School in Dawson, Georgia. She furthered her education at Albany State University.
Margaret Wood accepted Jehovah as her Savior at Jehovah’s Witness on July 6, 1974, and served until her death.
Margaret Watson was united in holy matrimony with Samuel H. Wood on June 3, 1978, in Dawson, Georgia. Their union was blessed with four children and nine grandchildren.
In her leisure, she enjoyed loving to sew, cook, and sing.
Margaret Wood departed this life on January 11, 2023.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Samuel H. Wood, Sr.; four children, Samuel H. Wood, Jr. (Chared), Martresha Warren (Cory), Zacchaeus Wood (Olivia), and Reuben Wood (Ibiana); nine grandchildren, Zariah, Princeton, Zacchaeus Jr., Zane, Izaac, Riyra, Hanna, Karysan, and Cory, Jr.; one sister, Alversia Verveer (Daniel); three brothers, Charlie Frank Watson (Cynthia), Aaron Watson (Martha), and Oliver Watson, Jr. (Colleen); five aunts, Sadie Carter, Katie Lanier, Louise Hood, Minnie Marshal, and Doshia Moore; one uncle, Howard Dennard; five sisters-in-law, Ruth Brown, Gwen Holton, Sandra Wood, Jackline Jones (Robert), and Sarah Carrition (Eric); three brothers-in-law, Willie Wood (Alice), James Wood (Shirley), and Benny Wood; special cousin, Wanda Sharpe; and a host of cousins and friends.
