Morris Cash, Jr. Obituary

Morris Cash, Jr., was born on April 26, 1936, in Brunswick, GA, to the late Morris Cash, Sr., and Gussie Maxwell. He peacefully passed away at the comfort of his home on August 18, 2025. He attended school in the Brookman community of Glynn County before attending high school in Detroit, Michigan. After high school, he returned home and then joined the United States Army. During his time of service, he had many accomplishments, to name a few: he was a Green Beret, Ranger in the 82nd Airborne Division, special forces, paratrooper, and a master sergeant during his 24 years of military service.

He worked for Stars and Stripes, an American newspaper in Germany, as a newspaper distributor for about 20 years. After many years, he relocated back to the United States and made his home in Florida. He became a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid, Florida. He was a dedicated member, elder, and trustee. He was also an usher as well as a communion steward. He truly loved the Lord and was an asset to his community.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Morris Cash, Sr., and Gussie Maxwell Cash; brother, Gilbert Maxwell; aunt, Carrie Maxwell Robinson; several aunts; grandson, Gerald McEachin, Jr.; and granddaughter, Melissa Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Ursula Cash King of Lake Placid, FL; three daughters,  Theresa Williams (Joe), Alberta McEachin (Gerald Sr.), and Delores Googe (James); one stepdaughter, Tanja King; two sons, Michael Cash (Emma) and Morris Cash III; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Maxwell; one uncle, Reverend Dr. W. Ray Hill (Myldred); twelve grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He fought a good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith.
