“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” II Corinthians 5:8
Today, I pray that you find peace and understanding because you must realize that God is close to the brokenhearted and he comforts those whose spirits are crushed by the loss of a loved one. Pamela was an angel; set free, missed, but will never be forgotten. She is now at peace. As you travel through life, please remember to show and tell each other daily how much you love each other. No one is promised tomorrow or guaranteed old age; that’s why each moment of our life is so precious. Don’t worry about me or how brief my life appeared to each of you, I lived life to the fullest, so I have gone to a land where others have gone.
Pamela G. Wright was born on September 29, 1978, to Leonard and Emma Wright, Jr., in Columbus, Ohio. She received her formal education at South High School in Columbus, Ohio. After relocating to Brunswick, Georgia, she furthered her education at the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Georgia.
Just knowing Pamela as an individual was a blessing because of her contagious smile. She loved people and her family. The excitement of her life was just being in the company of her family and friends. When not enjoying her family and friends, she enjoyed reading, eating, and watching cartoons. Please don’t forget her love for those Ohio State Buckeyes, which was her favorite team. She was employed by Southeast Georgia Health System in the Medical Records department for over ten years.
On September 29, 2025, God decided that Pamela’s work on earth was done. Now she joins other family members who have gone on before her to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lucy and Herman Smith; paternal grandparents, Mary and Leonard Wright; aunt and uncle, Merry and James Brown; sister, Polly Wright; and cousin, Darnell Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, DeAundre Wright and Anthony Dixon; parents, Emma and Leonard Wright, Jr.; brothers, Jerald (Tanya) Wright, Tony Smith, and Leonard Wright III; sisters, Jackie (Andre) Marshall, Tasha (Richard) Waye, and Sharon Hamilton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
