An angel returned to heaven on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, when Pastor Mary Ann Jones left this life at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital. Mary Ann was born in Luray, South Carolina on June 20, 1953. She was raised in Hampton County South Carolina during the pre-civil rights era, which allowed her to be a part of history. She was among the first groups of children to integrate into Hampton County Public Schools.

Undaunted in her quest for education, Pastor Jones graduated from Estill High School and earned an Associate Degree in Business from Beaufort Technical College. She earned a

Along with her work in the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Mary built a successful career as a registered nurse with Memorial Health University Medical Center for more than thirty years before retiring in 2021.

Pastor Jones worked diligently as a Pastor, Senior Care Home Manager, National Teacher for C.B.D.C.F., Chair of Foreign Missions, and Abundant Life Christian Academy Administrator. She touched countless lives in these capacities and professed healing through faith in Jesus Christ.
