Patricia Richardson Obituary

The road of death is a road that we all must travel all alone. The reward from this journey is knowing that there is a loving God who is waiting on the other side to comfort each of us as he guides us to our new home. Please remember that life has many struggles, but with the help of God, we are equipped to overcome all obstacles in our lives. I know that my departure has created a gloomy situation in each of your lives but keep smiling and surely the sun will eventually shine through because death is evitable. When you are feeling sad, remember these words, “Grieve not
for me because God has set me free.” My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. I truly was blessed to live the three scores God promised me.

Ms. Patricia B. Richardson was born on December 8, 1944, to the union of Mr. Able Richardson and Mrs. Ada (Johnson) Richardson in Brunswick, Georgia. She received her formal education in the Glynn County Public School System and was a graduating member of the Risley High School Class of 1962. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and attended St. Paul AME Church. She later moved her membership to Payne Chapel AME Church under the leadership of Reverend Richard Hutchinson prior to moving to Arlington, Texas in 2018. In Texas, she
worshipped under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Fredrick Douglas Haynes III at Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. She was employed at Marshland Credit Union in Brunswick, Georgia where she retired from prior to moving to Texas. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and loving on her grandchildren.

On March 31, 2024, Patricia B. Richardson dropped her robe of flesh and went to be with the Lord. This has left a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her. Preceding her in death are her parents, Able and Ada Richardson and her “Big Sister,” Carletha (Clarence) Robinson.

Those left to cherish her memories: daughter, Marsha (Anthony) Howard of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Arthur Richardson of Brunswick, Georgia; five sisters, Diane (Benny) Demery of Brunswick, Georgia, Joyce Richardson of Brunswick, Georgia, Paula (Michael) Thomas, of Thomasville, North Carolina, Shirley Chaney of Glenn Dale, Maryland, and Christella Young of Austin, Texas; three loving grandchildren, Dorien Kelly of San Marcos, Texas, Chandler Howard of Duncanville, Texas, and Jaiden Howard of Commerce, Texas; one niece/adopted in
love daughter, Lawanna (Alton) Ruff of Stone Mountain, Georgia; one sister in love/cousin, Sally Pearl (Robert) Thomas, an incredible extended Russell/Johnson family of Dallas, Texas; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
