“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” II Corinthians 5:8
As you celebrate the end of my life’s journey, I pray that each of you will find comfort in knowing that a loving and compassionate God knows what’s best for each of us. Although my life appears to be brief, I’ve lived an exciting and full life. We’ve shared so many fun memories, countless hours of laughter, and so much love, so keep these memories within each of your hearts and minds. Use them to comfort the pain when you start to miss my presence. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding take away all tears. I want each of you to remember my radiant smile and how I radiated in each of your lives. Through all the pain and suffering, remember the joy that I brought into your lives.
Paul Eugene Ramsey III was born to Kimberly Williams and Paul Ramsey, Jr. on November 23, 1998, at the Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus in Brunswick, Georgia. Paul was a vibrant child and always had that big smile on his face.
Paul received his education in the Glynn County school system in Brunswick, Georgia. He was a well-behaved student and never caused any trouble for his teachers. He was a proud graduate of the Brunswick High School, Class of 2018.
Paul accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was united with the body of believers at Emmanuel Baptist Church on St. Simons Island, Georgia. During his teenage years, he transferred his membership to City of Refuge Mission Family Worship Center with his mother and brother.
Paul loved music, gaming, model cars, movies, and dancing. It didn’t matter to Paul, wherever he was, if the music was good, he was dancing. Whether it was in church, in his head, or being piped through his headphones, Paul would unapologetically bust out dancing with a big smile on his face. His last occupation was in food service at Zaxby’s in Brunswick, Georgia.
After a sudden onset of cancer, Paul Eugene Ramsey III was called to his final resting place with the Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 3:30 PM. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Charlene Williams and Louise Ramsey; grandfather, Paul Ramsey, Sr.; and uncle, Wesley Lemon.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Kimberly Williams; father, Paul Ramsey, Jr.; brother, Xavier Ramsey; grandfather, James Williams; aunts, Jenell Williams, Anna Williams, Sharon Bland, Rosalyn Ramsey, and Kim Ramsey; uncles, Jermaine Ramsey, Marquise Hines (Shamia), Jamichael Williams, and William Holloway; and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
