Ralph Fulmore, Jr. Obituary

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

II Timothy 4:7

To my family and friends who have gathered for my great celebration, please do not be angry with God because the death angels arrived sooner than anyone expected. I know it is difficult to comprehend why someone would be taken from this world at such a young age, but I want each of you to understand that my destiny was determined by God Almighty. Although my years on earth have been few, I have lived a full and happy life during my thirty-six years. As a family, I pray you will find comfort in the knowledge that nothing happens unless God allows it.

On January 16, 1990, in Florence, South Carolina, God blessed Elder Ralph Fulmore, Sr., and Julia McElveen Fulmore with an amazing son, whom they named Ralph Fulmore, Jr. He was a cherished son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was educated in the Florence County public schools and was a graduating member of the Lake City High School class of 2008. He continued his studies at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. On August 18, 2009, Ralph enlisted in the United States Army, faithfully serving until his honorable discharge on January 30, 2015. God was always the foundation of his family, and Ralph was a member of Unity Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Ralph was known for his remarkable strength, unwavering kindness, and infectious humor. Whether at home or among friends, Ralph’s presence was uplifting, and his laughter brought warmth to every gathering. Ralph was a pillar in his community, dedicating his time and energy through his work with Florence County EMS and as a volunteer firefighter for South Lynches. He was also active in the Will Do Lodge 322 PHA, further demonstrating his commitment to serving others. Ralph’s ability to make people feel comfortable and valued was a testament to his compassionate nature. He was always ready with a joke or witty remark, leaving those around him smiling and at ease. Beyond his service to the community, Ralph enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, visiting the gun range, and coaching youth sports. These activities reflected his love for the outdoors and his dedication to mentoring and encouraging young people.

God sent His angels on April 8, 2026, to reclaim His gift to this world. He has gone to be with those loved ones that have gone before him.

Ralph leaves to cherish his memories and continue his legacy: father and mother, Elder Ralph Fulmore, Sr., and Julia Fulmore; children, Dylon Fulmore (mother, Jaqueshia McFadden) all of Lake City, SC, Lewis Davis, Ralph Fulmore III, Karter Fulmore (mother, Candience Bell) all of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Ryleigh Fulmore, Peyton Fulmore, Kaleb Fulmore, Braylen Croker, and his fiancée, DeKayla McFadden all of Florence, SC; siblings, Tracy Oliver of Greenville, SC, Shaketa Hughes and Anthony McClary, both of Lake City, SC, Racheal Fulmore of Greenville, SC, Lafelle’ Gist of Columbia, SC, and Julian Fulmore of Cades, SC; several aunts and uncles; great-aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; and other relatives and friends.
